AMES CERTIFACTE IN PVAW FOR AFGHAN LEADERS

AMES Australia, 2023

Role: Presenter/Trainer

We designed and delivered training about what respect looks like in the Afghan communiity in Australia compared to how respect looks like in Afghanistan. The model created formed part of the AMES certificate in Prevention of Violence Against Women that trains community leaders in understanding what family violence is, how it manifests in culture and techniques for engaging community in prevention.

FEARLESS FORUM: WOMEN INSPIRING CHANGE

The Committee for Gender Equality of the Council of Bar Association in Pisa, Italy/Neetu/Colour Films, 2024

Role: Panelist

We have been honoured to take part in this incredible forum and training program that aims to look at the prevention of acid violence in Europe. Our founder Helena Hassani will join activist and campaigner Neetu from India and a number of leading legal experts to investigate the links between acid violence, law reform, disability rights and other forms of gendered violence (including links to Child and Forced Marriage).

There are believed to be up to 3000 acid attacks in Europe every year, so we are delighted to make a small contribution towards this important initiative.

The forum is part of a training accreditation offered by The Committee for Gender Equality of the Council of Bar Association in Pisa
